ClimateWorks

ClimateWorks is accelerating the transition to net zero emissions for Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Co-founded by The Myer Foundation and Monash University in 2009, ClimateWorks is a non-profit working within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute.

To mitigate the adverse effects of climate change, global temperature rise must be limited to well below 2°C and ideally 1.5°C, in alignment with the Paris Agreement. To achieve this, we must transition to net zero emissions before 2050.

ClimateWorks is relentless in driving climate action. We work with and convene partners and collaborators to develop expert, independent solutions that consider the social, economic and environmental impacts and opportunities of the transition to a net zero future.

2020’s is critical decade according to climate scientists and policy experts. It is the decade when momentum is pulling in the right direction - technology costs have fallen so much that solutions are now widely available, consumer sentiment has strengthened toward climate action and sustainable products, investors and businesses are responding to this and growing regulatory and policy signals. The climate change question is now about how we will act, not if we will act.

We thank PMF Foundation for their multi year support for our systems approach and work across the whole of economy in scaling and implementing the solutions to transit to Net Zero emissions for Australia and Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
